UMAN

(b. 1980, Somalia) is a Somali-born, New York-based artist. Self-taught, Uman’s vibrant, intuitive paintings and drawings reflect her nomadic experiences, blending abstraction, figuration, and a dreamlike visual language rooted in personal memory, folklore, and identity.
