Tai Shani

(b. 1976, London, UK) lives and works in London. She studied at Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art. Shani’s practice spans performance, installation, film, and writing, drawing on feminist histories, myth, and science fiction to construct alternative narratives and speculative worlds.

Recent group exhibitions include British Art Show 9, touring UK venues (2021–22); Still I Rise, De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill (2019); and Glasgow International (2018). Shani was a joint winner of the Turner Prize in 2019.
